First Father's Day Gift Guide: For First Time Dads by a First Time Mom

First Father's Day Gift Guide

For First Time Dad's by a First Time Mom

Since it's my first Father's Day Shopping for someone other than my own father, I made a list of all of the cute things that would make a First Father's Day special.

When it comes to gift-giving, I'm usually very practical. I always try to buy something the person needs and will use. My husband said that might make me a good gift-giver, but also a boring gifter. I had a lot of fun picking out items that technically serve no significant purpose other than to remind my baby's daddy, that he is in fact my baby's daddy.

All of these things were found on Amazon. I wanted to pick things with quick ship time because Father's Day is just around the corner.

1. Daddy Diaper Bag. For a man on a mission.

This isn't your cute, backpack that doubles as a purse when the kids aren't around. This is a manly, military-style backpack diaper bag that makes daddy-ing look like the most intense job around.

2. Gift for the Millenial Dad with a Sense of Humor.

Courtesy of the New Balance Twitter account.
Tell me, I'm not the only one who laughs at the meme's of dad's grilling in their backyard, in their all-white New Balances because it stirs up fond memories of seeing your own dad fulfilling the stereotype? Now, I will say, my dad thought he was pretty cool because his New Balance's had some blue. He ain't no basic b*tch, yall.

I'm a millennial and if I were a dad, I would think this gift was hilarious. I'll link a few different options below.

3. For the Dad who can't help but laugh at himself.

Everyone enjoys a good dad joke, right? No? Just me? I thought these joke books would be such a punny gift. (See what I did there?) lol. I'm sharing the highest-rated Dad Joke books all under $10 and available for Prime shipping.

4. For the Daddy who can read.

Reading to your children is so important. Instilling the desire to learn early on helps with brain development, so says the internet. If the father in your life reads to your little one, why not gift him a few books geared towards the father-child relationship.

This book is a desperate attempt to ensure, your child's first words are DADA. It's pretty funny, and it's one I personally bought for my husband to read to our daughter.

5. Put Baby's face on everything.

I love these items so much. Who wouldn't want to have their sweet little babe's face proudly displayed for the world to see?  From blankets to mugs to clothing, the dad in your life can show his love with any of these.

I ordered these adorable socks with E's sweet cheeks plastered all over. My husband is going to love them!

Father's Day is quickly approaching so I tried to pick items that offered a quick turnaround time for personalization.

Custom Fleece Blanket: Sizes: 30" x 40", 50" x 60", 60" x 80"

Custom Photo Mug: Only $18 and the company will ship within two business days! If you order soon, you can get it before Father's Day.

6. Picture Frame and Photo of Daddy and Baby

This gift is sentimental and thoughtful. A photo of the pair is a sweet reminder of the love they share. It would be great for dad's desk or a bedside table. These frames are available for Prime shipping and come in 4x6 and 5x7, vertical and horizontal options.

Do you have any suggestions for a first time Dad Father's Day gifts that didn't make the list? Be sure to pin this to save for later and share it with friends!
